A FIRE ripped through a barn in Kingsley on Wednesday (August 17).
At just after 6pm firefighters were called to Cooks Hill in Kingsley, Frodsham after a large barn caught on fire.
Crews battled through the night to extinguish the blaze which ripped through the 20m x 20m barn completely gutting the farmyard building.
Firefighters from Crew and Widnes wearing breathing apparatus used ground monitors, hose reels and main jets to fight the blaze which continued into the early house of the morning.
An investigation is being carried out into the cause of the fire, and crews have remained at the barn which continues to smoulder.
