AVID readers at The King’s School have taken their hobby to the extreme.
More than 50 pupils entered an Extreme Reading competition with photographs of themselves reading in unusual places.
The winners were Daniel Roberts, eight, of Hawarden, who read on a bungee, Caitlin Thomas, nine, of Wrexham, reading in a cupboard, Sam Flory, 10, of Whitchurch, photographed in Arizona and Matthew Reece-Jones, 11, of Denbighshire, for reading underwater.
The pupils raised £1,600 for CLIC Sargent, The Roald Dahl Foundation and READwell which provides books and storytelling to children who are in hospital.
