Indian jewellery and painting stolen in Chester house burglary

POLICE are appealing to the public for help after some unusual Indian jewellery was stolen during a burglary in Curzon Park.

The burglary took place between 9.20am and 5.15pm on Monday (August 1).

Cheshire Constabulary spokeswoman Shelley Williams said: “A substantial amount of Indian-style jewellery was stolen, along with electrical equipment and an Indian painting in a gold frame.

“The suspect or suspects also took a safe and a red mountain bike.”

Police are appealing for witnesses, in particular any local residents who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area on Monday, or anyone seen carrying a safe or making off on a red mountain bike.

Police are also appealing for anyone who may have seen or have been sold any Indian style jewellery or a painting similar to the one pictured.
