CHILDREN in Frodsham welcomed in the holidays with charitable cheer and their own royal wedding.
Pupils at Frodsham Manor House celebrated the end of term with a sponsored walk raising £1,700 for Claire House Hospice.
Over the course of the year the children have donated money on their birthdays for the charity, which is close to the heart of the school as it offers respite care for headteacher Ian Devereux- Roberts’ two children.
Then children in Year 2 put on their party dresses and dickie-bows to stage their very own royal wedding in honour of Will and Kate.
Thomas Butterworth and Caitlin Casey played bride and groom in the special ceremony held at Frodsham Methodist Church.
The annual service, led by Rev Pat Christopher, is part of the school’s life stages topics, which helps the children to understand religious ceremonies, including; Muslim naming ceremonies, baptism, weddings and funerals.
Following the service the happy couple enjoyed their very own wedding cake, before heading back to the classroom to host their reception with speeches, balloons and banners.
