CHESTER Lions are challenging women to dispel the stereotypes about female drivers by taking part in a ladies driving challenge.
Cheshire women can get behind the wheel of more unusual vehicles, including a fire engine, a police car, a JCB, and a limo.
The charity fun day will take place on September 17 and 18 on the Poulton Airfield, near Chester.
For a minimum sponsorship of £50, ladies can get behind the wheel of five or more of the unusual machines.
The money raised will be split between Chester Lions charities; Miles of Smiles, Claire House Children’s Hospice and St John Ambulance.
Cheshire area fundraising manager Abi Smith from Claire House, who will be taking part in the challenge, said: “I cannot wait to show off my driving skills! “I’ve always wanted to drive a HGV and this experience will hopefully display my driving expertise, be great fun and raise money for Claire House at the same time!”
