Aspiring DJs in Lache take to the airwaves

ASPIRING DJs will take to the mic in the latest broadcasts from a community radio station.

Lache FM will return to the airwaves for four days of live shows later this month.

From July 14-17, DJs aged from seven to 70 will entertain the community with music, discussions and news.

The station will also cover the annual Lache fun day on July 16 and broadcast a live episode of The Seals podcast, the Chester FC show.

The last live broadcast was in February but the station has an online presence, uploading fortnightly to www.lachefm.org.uk

Station manager Chris Sutton said: “Broadcasting live for the four days will be a great buzz for the community of Lache.”

The station has been running workshops at primary schools to get as many people involved as possible.

Chris said: “The people who have been down have shown us this community really has something to offer.”

Lache FM is appealing to local musicians to send in their music for the playlist.
