BUDDING artists have been inspired to pick up their pencils to help inspire artwork for a major new development in Frodsham.
Artist Andy Hazell, 51, of Knighton in South Wales, visited children at Weaver Vale Primary School in Frodsham to speak about his public artwork ideas for the St Luke’s development.
He said: “It’s important the whole community feels involved and has a connection to the project.”
Mr Hazell said he wanted to come and speak to young people who live in the local area because ‘children have some wonderfully imaginative ideas'.
Chosen from a shortlist of three artists following a consultation last October, Andy will provide the finishing touches to the £4.3m project – which is one of the biggest in the North West. It is due to be completed in October 2011.
