Tarporley Amateur Dramatic Society’s recent play was a huge success

THEATRE buffs turned out in full force to see Tarporley Amateur Dramatic Society’s latest production.

The society performed Raymond Hopkins’ farcical comedy ‘Love Begins at 50’ to a packed audiences at Tarporley Community Centre.

The play centres around long suffering middle class couple Clive and Anita, both unhappily married, and the chaotic misdemeanours of themselves and their family and friends.

More than 300 people attended the play’s three-day run.

Tom Kenny, the society’s vice chairman, who also directed the comedy, said: “It was really enjoyable and the audience seemed to be having a great time.

“We tend to usually fluctuate between comedy and drama, but this time we did a farcical comedy and it was very well received.”

He added: “It was a really fun show and the audience seemed to love it, which was shown in the fact the tickets all sold out.”

The society, who perform exclusively in the Tarporley and Tarvin areas, is now working on their next production, due to be performed in November.
