Armed robbery at Mecca Bingo in Chester

ARMED men stole cash during a robbery in Chester.

At around 11.40pm on Thursday, April 28, three masked men armed with a knife stole a large amount of cash from Mecca Bingo, Brookdale Place.

Two women and a man were working inside at the time and were tied up by the offenders who then stole cash.

The men left and are believed to have driven off in a small van.

The offenders were all wearing dark clothing and had balaclavas covering their faces.

Detective Constable Gavin Hastings from Chester CID said: “This must have been a terrifying ordeal for the staff and they were understandably left extremely shaken.

“Fortunately they were not injured but these men need to be caught and I would urge anyone with any information to call police.”
