Assault allegation after report of a domestic-related incident in Blacon

THE police helicopter was deployed to help search for a man wanted for questioning in relation to an alleged assault on a 30-year-old woman.

Police were called to a report of a domestic-related incident in Western Avenue, Blacon, about 9.30pm on Tuesday .

The suspect, believed to be a man in his 20s, had left the scene on foot. The helicopter assisted in the search for the individual but he could not be found.

Enquiries are ongoing to trace the man. The victim did not require hospital treatment.
