TWO steel scupltures stolen from a Chester park pond have been reinstated by the man who made them.
The herons were stolen from Grosvenor Park when cold weather meant the pond froze over. Thieves crossed the ice and removed the sculptures, created by Andy Longmuir.
One heron was found in the pond when the ice melted and a second was found by workers near the park lodge.
Sculptures of a leaping fish and a jumping frog are still missing.
Andy said: “I have secured these to the concrete in a different way, so I hope they will be impossible to move.”
