Top London chef to work at the Chester Grosvenor and Spa hotel

A CHEF from the top London hotel Claridge’s will produce a culinary delight at the Chester Grosvenor and Spa hotel next week.

Martyn Nail will be guest chef in the hotel’s Michelin-starred kitchen working alongside executive chef Simon Radley on Thursday, March 31.

Claridge’s gourmet evening will be designed by both chefs in the Simon Radley restaurant.

Nail, 45, has worked in Claridge’s since 1988 and has risen through the ranks to become executive chef.

A Laurent-Perrier champagne and canapé reception will herald the start of the evening at 7pm. Martyn will then create a five-course gourmet meal, matched by fine wines, and will make a special appearance in the restaurant during the evening.

On Friday, April 1, Martyn will preside over a special Claridge’s lunch which begins at 12.30pm with a glass of Laurent-Perrier champagne followed by a two-course lunch with wine. Martyn will then give a short talk to diners about his life as chef at the iconic London hotel.

Simon Radley said: “Partnerships like this are rare and as a result really special. I’m really excited to have Martyn here with us and I can’t wait to see the menu that he comes up with.

“One thing is for sure – this is a dining experience at The Chester Grosvenor and Spa that’s not to be missed.”

Martyn added: “I am thrilled to join Simon Radley and his team and look forward to bringing some of Claridge’s signature dishes to the beautiful Chester Grosvenor and Spa

“For me, sharing my knowledge with fellow chefs and simultaneously learning from them is the best part of partnerships like these.”

Tickets for the dinner are £150 per person (lunch £47.50). To book, call Ann Wiggins on 01244 895618.
