Staff at Chester travel agent stage a global Comic Relief fundraiser

STAFF from Deva Travel raised money for Comic Relief from Sydney Harbour Bridge to Bridge Street in Chester.

Manager Sarah Roberts was upset that she was not able to celebrate Comic Relief with her staff at the Bridge Street branch as she was on holiday Down Under with her boyfriend Andrew Foley, a Chester solicitor.

Not to feel completely left out she donned a red nose to raise money for the charity and sent a picture of herself wearing it next to the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

“People thought I was very odd wearing my red nose, it was also difficult to breathe. I was tempted to climb the bridge wearing it but decided against it,” said Sarah.

Back in Chester the girls in the shop had decorated the branch with red nose balloons, made cakes and drinks for passers-by and customers.

Helen Ferguson said: “It was all great fun. We missed Sarah but we are sure she was having fun and are all wondering how much money she raised for the charity.

“Our customers and even passers-by were very generous, it was a nice day.”
