WEST Cheshire College celebrated the opening of their state-of-the-art campus with a special cake-cutting ceremony.
A team of catering students created an enormous cake in the shape of the building.
The new Campus will provide a unique 6,000 square metre vocational science and technologies facility, a workspace for large-scale construction projects which replicates a real working environment and a flexible learning space for commercial training.
Staff and students will also benefit from 200 new computers, 160 new laptops, 100% wireless coverage, video calls, internet protocol television and new learning cameras as well as advanced science laboratories, electronics and robotics facilities, forensics investigation area, painting and decorating bays and industry-leading motor vehicle workshops.
A double height internal project court provides space for learners from various trades to come together and build a house. Innovations used in the actual building include a ground-breaking building management system that allows monitoring and control of energy use.
