Top autism experts give a talk at Daresbury Hotel
LEADING experts in the field of autism spoke to a Cheshire-wide conference involving parents and professional workers.
Organised by Cheshire Aspergers Parents Support (ChAPS), the all-day conference at the Lord Daresbury Hotel, Daresbury, was attended by 200 people.
Dr Luke Beardon, a lecturer in autism at Sheffield Hallam University, led a discussion on autism which included calls for earlier diagnosis and better knowledge of a condition which he described as neither a mental illness nor learning disability.
