A Weaver-vale MP has handed-over #400 to a life saving charity that he raised running the Helsby Half Marathon

MARATHON man Graham Evans has raised more than £400 for a life-saving charity.

The MP for Weaver Vale participated in the Helsby Half Marathon to raise money for Halton Haven Hospice.

On Wednesday Mr Evans presented a cheque to the charity and thanked the people who sponsored him in his marathon effort,

“It’s only a small amount of money but I wanted to do my bit and help support this fantastic Hospice, which gives first rate care to so many people in Cheshire. It is hard to overestimate how important our hospices are to so many families.”

“I’m very grateful to all those who sponsored my run and for those who gave me encouragement.

“Now my legs have recovered, I’m thinking about trying to do a full marathon in future.”
