Malpas road traffic collision victim dies

A WOMAN seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Malpas has sadly died.

At just after 8pm on Wednesday, February 16, police were called to a report of a collision on the B5069 Chester Road, Malpas close to its junction with Ebnal Lane.

A Silver Landrover Discovery driven by a 42-year-old local woman collided with a green Ford Focus driven by a 47-year-old woman from the Wrexham area.

The driver of the Focus received serious injuries and was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital where she later died.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision. Anyone with any information is asked to call traffic police on 0845 458 0000.
