FOOTBALL fans from Upton primary schools proved to be lucky mascots for Chester FC when they were given free entry to the Exacta Stadium on Saturday.
Dozens of youngsters took up the offer to watch the home game against Clitheroe FC and were rewarded with a 5-0 win for Chester.
What’s more, the pupils and their parents were all seated behind the goal at the South stand end of the ground where all five goals, including a penalty and a Michael Wilde hat-trick, were scored in the second half.
The free entry initiative took place as part of the club’s new community scheme.
