INFANTS at Aldford School welcomed the Chinese New Year with a day of celebration.
The youngsters came to school dressed in a variety of costumes and spent the day making Chinese lanterns, dragon masks, rocking rabbits and sampling a selection of Chinese food with chopsticks.
In the afternoon, the children decorated a sheet to use in their Chinatown dragon dance.
This was accompanied by a song and percussion instruments.
The children also experimented with hand bells to produce Chinese sounding music.
