YOUNGSTERS from an Upton primary school took a break from lessons to carry out a special task at a neighbouring supermarket.
Acresfield Primary School pupils were invited to do the honours when the Spar store on Long Lane officially unveiled its new look following a revamp.
The Acres Lane school ran an art competition among pupils to decide who would have the honour of cutting the ribbon to declare the new look store open.
The competition was won by Year 2 pupils Noah Green and Hannah Ferguson, both seven, who carried out their special task on Friday afternoon.
The winners were rewarded with some early Easter eggs and all the children were presented with goody bags before returning to school.
