Theft of gold pendant and chain causes great distress for Chester owner

POLICE investigating the theft of a gold pendant and chain say the loss has caused a great deal of distress to the elderly woman who owns them.

Constable John Forshaw from Chester Inner Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “The jewellery had great sentimental value for her. We would like to hear from anyone who is offered the items for sale or who has any information about them.”

The woman lives in the central area of Chester.

The pendant is pear-shaped with a St Christopher engraving on the front. The chain, in carat gold, is 24 inches long and substantial weight. It has a safety chain attached by a thick gold ring.

Anyone who has any information is asked to contact Constable Forshaw on the Cheshire Police Information line 0845 458 0000 or you can leave information anonymously on the Crimestoppers line, 0800 555 111.
