CHESHIRE West and Chester Council are encouraging people to recycle any small electrical items at a series of roadshows across the county.
The Don't Bin It Bring It campaign is being held in partnership with Cheshire East Council, Repic and H W Martin Waste Limited to raise awareness of Small Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
Small WEEE includes anything that has a plug attached to it or is powered by batteries. WEEE contains various metals and materials that are precious and can be recycled.
A series of six roadshows across Chester, Northwich and Ellesmere Port will highlight the importance of recycling Small WEEE, and residents will be able to take part in Small WEEE craft activities run by Minerva Arts during half term, at the Chester, Northwich and Winsford shows.
There will also be the chance to enter a competition to win Wii game consoles that were donated by Repic, Opening Doors and H W Martin Waste Limited.
To enter, pick up a Win a Wii sticker from any of the roadshows, enter your details on the sticker, attach it to an item of unwanted or broken Small WEEE and take it to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre, which you can find by visiting www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/wasteandrecycling
Recycle your Small WEEE by Monday, March 7 and you will be in with a chance of winning a Wii games console. Winners will be announced in March.
