Police cafe sessions to be held in Great Sutton

GREAT Sutton residents will be able to regularly communicate with police over a cup of tea when a new ‘Police Cafe’ opens in the area.

Police Community Support Officer Neil Flanagan is planning to hold monthly “surgeries” in the café of the Sycamore Garden Centre, on Chester Road, in a bid to learn more about the views of the people of the community.

Officer Flanagan will hold the drop-in sessions at the garden centre on the first Monday of each month from 1-2pm, starting from February 7.

He said: “Whether people come in specifically to talk over some local issues or whether they’re just passing and stop for a chat, it seems an ideal spot to meet them, and I’m grateful to the café and garden centre owners for letting me use the premises.

“You don’t need an appointment and if anyone from other parts of Ellesmere Port wants to discuss any issues; that’s fine, too.”

Officer Flanagan will also be holding meetings in St George’s United Reform Church, Little Sutton on the first Tuesday of each month between noon and 2pm.

If you would like any more information about the cafe sessions, contact Alan Ingram, Western Area Press Officer on 01244 614079.
