Frodsham Leisure Centre is offering a week of free classes to mark its reopening
FRODSHAM residents can get fit for free to mark the reopening of the town’s leisure centre.
Frodsham Leisure Centre is marking its official reopening after a £150,000 renovation with a week of free classes and activities.
The centre, which now includes a 49-station gym fitted, a new spinning class studio and state-of-the-art dance mat equipment, will reopen on Monday.
And residents are encouraged to get fit with free activities including toning for the over 50s, squash, badminton and Zumba, dance mat, spinning and circuit training.
Opening hours have also been extended to help encourage more people within the community to stay healthy and the centre will open seven days a week.
Executive member for culture and recreation Cllr Richard Short said: “I am delighted that Frodsham Leisure Centre can now offer first-class sports and leisure facilities to the local community.
“I would encourage all local residents to take advantage of this week of free classes to come down to the centre and see what has changed onsite.”
The leisure centre is also working with Age Concern to provide activities for the over 50s group including gym sessions, core stability and toning sessions.
