LISTED building consent was granted for alterations at a riverside property.
The application, including a replacement garage, was put forward by Mr and Mrs J Hinnigan at 158 Barrel Well Hill, Boughton.
Mr and Mrs Hinnigan told planning officers they were also seeking approval for alterations to create a parking area at the grade two listed conservation area semi.
The three storey property is adjacent to the River Dee, according to a report.
A pre-cast concrete garage would be demolished.
The proposed replacement would be built along the boundary of a walled garden.
A raised garden at the front of the property would be altered to create parking and a turning bay.
A sandstone retaining wall would be built and an existing wall and steps would be refurbished. Railings were also proposed.
Their agents, Hoole based chartered building surveyors Hodkinson Mallinson, pointed out that similar alterations to create parking on the "very difficult" access had been carried out at no 160.
Planning officers pointed out the garage would be replaced by one of a design more suitable for the conservation area. Recommending the application should be approved, they suggested the work would preserve the special architectural and historic features of the semi.
