Residents dig deep at community clean-up in Hoole

WEEDS and overgrowth are a thing of the past at Ermine Road bridge in Chester thanks to a group of community-minded residents.

The team tidied up the sides of the bridge to remove foliage and weeds that were starting to get in the way of pedestrians.

Mark Williams, of Gresford Road, said: “It was a great success but it was quite hard work clearing away years of weeds and nettles!

“We are coming back again next Saturday (November 13) to plant come bulbs.

“Thanks to AudreyŠfrom Friends of Chester Millennium Greenway for letting the community take ownership of this little area.”
