Kingsley cyclists raise £1,000 for Alzheimer’s Research Trust

A CHARITY cycle challenger from Helsby Golf Club peddled through France for nine consecutive days to raise £1,000 for an Alzheimer’s charity.

Tom Stockton, a member of the Towers Lane golf club, took on the European endurance event with nine fellow cyclists from Kingsley, riding 720 miles from St Malo to Narbonne, on the Mediterranean coast.

Despite suffering a bout of sickness in the middle of the ride, all the cyclists – supported by Tom’s daughter Holly and her boyfriend Tom – successfully completed the challenge and raised £1,000 for the Alzheimer’s Research Trust.
