Chester children enjoy spooky fun at The Groves during Hospice of the Good Shepherd fundraiser

THE Hospice of the Good Shepherd’s first Hallowe’en Creeper event took place at The Groves on the bank of the River Dee in Chester.

Hickory’s Smokehouse warmed everyone up with delicious seasonal spiced pumpkin soup.

Mike Boyle provided the PA system for the evening and entertained the children with spooky music and balloon modelling.

Little Thespians performed various Hallowe’en dances in fancy dress.

The Chester soldiers from Roman Tours turned up to spook the children, and most of the adults while staff from Chester Library came dressed as a witch to read spine tingling stories to the children in the Bandstand.

Children’s rides and amusements were also at the Groves provided by Sharland’s Amusements.

The event raised £350 for the hospice and was well-attended.
