Vauxhall to launch Astra Sports Tourer at Ellesmere Port

VAUXHALL’S Astra Sports Tourer will be launched in Ellesmere Port today.

Due in UK showrooms from November 26, the Astra ST is built exclusively at the Ellesmere Port plant for the whole of Europe.

Invited guests will be driven in the new vehicle and tour the factory. There will also be explanations of the engineering, design, the final product and the manufacturing process.

Leading Vauxhall figures, including chief designer Andrew Dyson, will give presentations alongside Tony Francavilla, plant director.
