A STRAY cat has left the woman who discovered her at a loss in her search for the owner.
The small grey cat was found on the Stanney Oaks estate on Sunday, October 24.
Patricia McLean, of St Kilda Close, Stanney Oaks, nursed it back to health for more than a week until handing her over to the RSPCA at Little Croft vets, Little Sutton on Monday.
She said: “She’s a bit on the thin side and she’s not tagged or chipped because we took her to the vet on Sunday morning. She’s a lovely friendly cat.
“She’s a smoky grey small cat. It has a red collar.
“She was meowing at the back gate. I’ve rang the police, the vets, Cat’s Protection.
“I’ve been round some of the houses just knocking on doors to see if she belongs to anybody.
“When we took her to the vet they said she is quite thin. She’s very friendly.
“I’ve got a four-year-old daughter, she’s jumping around and the cat doesn’t bat an eyelid. She’s a very placid cat. She’s not frightened of the vacuum cleaner or anything.”
Lynne Johnson, at Littlecroft vets, said: “She must belong to somebody because she’s absolutely gorgeous. She’s a beautiful cat.”
