Tattenhall Park Primary School pupils wins national RE art prize
AN ARTISTIC five year old has scooped a top award in a national competition.
Sophie Shore-Nye, from Tattenhall Park Primary School was one of 20 winners in the ‘Art in Heaven’ competion.
The The national association of teachers of religious education Natre spirited arts ‘Art in Heaven’ competition links artistic creativity with religious education in schools.
The competiion is open to all four to 19 year olds, and the pupils create art work which explore a religious themes.
Sophie won a £20 book voucher for her effort.
School bursar Sue Trevor said that Sophie was presented with her prize during an assembly.
She said: “She was one of 20 winners out of 25,000 entries around the country so her award definitely needs celebrating.”
