A NEW path had approval around a school playing field.
The retrospective application was put forward by Highfield County Junior and Infant School on Blacon Point Road, Blacon.
The 400m long path is 2m wide, according to a report.
No objections to the scheme were raised by Sport England or by neighbours.
The main issue was the effect on the character of the area, according to planning officers at Cheshire West and Chester Council. They did not believe the new path was detrimental and suggest it was in keeping with the school and its grounds.
Recommending the application should have permission, they felt the path did not have an unacceptable detrimental effect on neighbours.
