IT MAY only be September but two brothers have joined forces to make Delamere Forest’s Christmas celebrations taste better than ever.
Ryan and Lee Cartwright from Delamere have created a traditional Tudor Chester street to sell locally sourced food during the Christmas tree sales at the Forest.
Ryan said: “The Forestry Commission wanted to try something really different and bring some good quality, locally produced food to the event.
“We wanted to give visitors to the area a real taste of Cheshire, not just through our food, but visually as well. This is when we hit upon the idea of building a traditional Chester street.”
In addition to the food and drink, which will come from within a six mile radius of the site, there will be a snow machine and Santa’s grotto.
Richard Mostyn, of Forestry Commission Delamere, said: “The new catering site at Delamere Tree Sales is like nothing we’ve had before.
“The local historical theme is something we feel will add a new buzz to the already popular tree sales and we hope that people will be encouraged to sample some of the delicious local produce on offer.
“The tree sales are a perfect opportunity for people to come and explore the delights of Delamere.”
