Golden opportunity for singers as Bishop Heber High in Malpas starts its 50th anniversary celebrations

SINGERS are being sought for a special occasion.

A service is to be held at St Oswald’s, Malpas, this month to mark the beginning of the 50th anniversary year of Bishop Heber High School.

For the service, a community group of singers is being formed to perform one item.

“I would like to hear from any members of the community who are parents of past and present pupils, governors, teachers and other employees, past and present and former pupils who have any connection with the Heber,” said organiser Mr David Haynes.

He added: “There will be just one practice, on Thursday September 23, in St Oswald’s, from 7.30pm to 8.30 pm.

“Participants do not need to be able to read music as all the parts will be taught at the practice.”

Anyone who would like to take part can contact David on 01948 860486 or david@hayns.com.

The service itself will take place on Thursday, September 30, at 7pm.

The school is also looking for past pupils to get in touch.

Past pupils can email 50years@bishopheber. cheshire.sch.uk for more information about the 50th anniversary celebrations.
