Extension plans at farm house given the go ahead by Cheshire West and Chester planners

AN EXTENSION was agreed to a Grade II listed farm house dating back to the mid 18th century.

The single storey new build was proposed at the rear of Kidnal Grange, Whitewood Lane, Overton by Mr and Mrs Pritchard.

Considerable renovations, restoration and alterations had been carried out to the property in the 1980s, according to a design statement.

Mr and Mrs Pritchard were said to require a dining area off the kitchen with enough space to be able to entertain.

Landscaping would also be carried out.

Consultations with conservation officers had resulted in a modern approach which would be built in traditional materials. The extension would match.

No comments were raised by parish councillors or by neighbours.

Planners suggested the extension would be in keeping with the character of the property and the wider area.

The application was recommended for approval and the council agreed permission could be granted.
