Queen’s School girls in fishing adventure

STUDENTS from The Queen’s Lower School have tried their hand at coarse fishing.
The Year 4 and 5 pupils visited the coarse fishing centre at Cheshire Lakes where the lakes are stocked with perch, bream, carp and pike.
The centre’s fishing experts taught the girls how to bait, net and land a fish as well as how to throw it back in afterwards.
The first fish on the end of the rod was an impressive 3.5lb carp.
Headmistress of the Lower School Felicity Taylor said: “The girls embraced this new experience with gusto. We are delighted with the results. Many want to come back in the holidays.”
