Jazz reunion for Garden Quarter event

CHESTER’S Garden Quarter presents Music in the Lane tomorrow evening (Friday, August 20).
Acts include singer Jane Wolfe, who will be reunited with pianist John Cook, and multi-instrumentalist Mal Pendry at Garden Lane Methodist Church. Jane regularly appeared at Alexander’s Jazz Bar during the 1990s with John and the late Bill Clarkson. Mal is best known as the bass player in the Wall City Jazz Band.
Also appearing are cellist Ashley Walsh and oboeist Georgina West. Soloist Molly Dunleavy, 13, will sing with St Thomas of Canterbury Church choir. Tickets £5 01244 378616.
