Frodsham and Helsby Rotary Club hosts its annual motor show

VISITORS to the Cheshire Motor Show at Frodsham Community Centre raised more than £3,000 for the Rotary Club of Frodsham and Helsby.

The annual event, now in its fourth year, was held on Sunday at Frodsham Community Centre, Fluin Lane, where rare vehicles from as far afield as Porthmadog in North Wales, Leeds, Staffordshire and Burnley were on display.

Andrew Lawless, of Frodsham and Helsby Rotary Club, said: “The wide range of vehicles on display included tractors, wagons, motorcycles, scooters, classics, vintage, customised and American cars.

“A total of 13 American Plymouth PT Cruisers were on display plus six three-wheeled DRK kit cars which were all built originally at nearby Ellesmere Port.

“There were also a number of trade stands and a small funfair.

“Refreshments were provided by the Rotary Club, with members of Frodsham Inner Wheel serving tea, coffee and cakes.”

He added: “The club thanks all those who helped make the day such a great success.”
