THREE teachers, with more than 60 years service between them, have retired from a city school.
Year 2 teacher Jenny Jackson, Reception teacher Veronica Barnett and Year 5 teacher Liz Craven have all taught at Newton Primary School for 20 years apiece.
Pupils and staff celebrated with a picnic on the last day of the summer term.
There was also a special assembly for all three teachers.
Headteacher Mark Griffiths said: “We would like to thank them for the great contribution that they have made over the years and wish them well in their retirement.”
