Norley diabetic girl wins art award
A DIABETIC youngster has shown a creative streak to scoop a regional award for her colourful butterfly picture.
The colouring competition for children who battle the blood sugar disease diabetes was won by four-year-old Emma Hughes of Fingerpost Lane, Norley, near Frodsham.
Abbott Diabetes Care sponsor the colouring competition for children ranging from two to 16 years old with diabetes.
More than 300 children from across the country entered the competition through their paediatric diabetes specialist nurse.
Twelve winning designs were chosen and are featured in the 2010 Abbott Diabetes Care calendar.
As one of the winners, Emma received a Crayola art set, the 2010 calendar and a framed poster both featuring her design.
