QUEEN’S Lower School pupils from Chester have been taking French lessons - in France.
The Year 6 pupils enjoyed a cultural trip to Paris taking in the Eiffel Tower, Sacré Coeur, the cathedral of Notre Dame and the artists’ quarter of Montmartre.
The youngsters sketched works of art and major buildings and had their own portraits drawn in Montmartre. A visit to the Musée D’Orsay also helped to develop their ideas about modern art.
Head of the Lower School, Felicity Taylor, said: “All the girls were able to speak enough French to order food and drinks and to chat to shopkeepers around the city.”
