PLANS to create an al fresco drinking and dining area outside a Frodsham pub has been opposed by town leaders.
The proposals have been submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council for change of use of the paved area to the front of the Cholmondeley Arms in Church Street to create the facility that would be enclosed by a railing.
Frodsham Town Council has objected to the proposal, claiming it would ‘remove a public amenity, cause obstruction and safety issues due to the narrow footpath under the nearby railway bridge and block access to the Frodsham heritage information board’.
