A Knight’s Tale at Overleigh St Mary’s CE Primary School

PRECOCIOUS princesses, a talking dragon and a sword in a scone led to a right royal romp at Overleigh St Mary’s CE Primary School.

The performing arts groups of actors, dancers and musicians presented What a Knight! at the Handbridge School.

A cast of more than 120 acted as knights, squires, lords and ladies in the tale of the Black Knight, played by Edward Stark, trying to take over King Arthur’s Camelot.

It is left to Watt Cobblers (Sam Owen) to find the lost Excalibur which had been hidden by Merlin the magician (Sam Ferguson) in a scone.

The end of term production was directed by Deborah Forest and Wenda Smith with music by Beverley Atherton and Jenny Cripps.
