IT WILL be a fun filled afternoon with an African flavour at this Saturday’s Tarporley Carnival.
The ‘Out of Africa’ themed parade will start at 1pm at the top of the high street. Children, adults, schools and groups will take part in the parade which will be marched to the sound of Tarporley Silver Band.
The parade will travel down the high street to the field behind the Community Centre where the event will be officially opened with the crowning of the carnival queen.
Visitors will be wowed by the range of entertainment on offer including the MAD Mountain bike display team, the James Gilman dogs and ducks display and the Emma O’Han Irish Dancers.
There will also be a chance for the primary school children to get sporty and show off their games skills on the field. The carnival will conclude with the Explorers camp fire songs.
In addition to all this entertainment there will be a huge range of stalls, games and displays on offer.
Visitors will also be able to get involved in the circus skills workshop, have a go on the climbing wall and cheer at the Punch and Judy show. There will be a range of refreshments on offer.
