A CAR was gutted by fire after being set alight by suspected car thieves.
It was found by firefighters completely charred by flames on Manley Road, Dunham-on-the-Hill, Chester, at 6am on Wednesday.
One appliance from Chester fire station attended to douse the remainder of the flames with a hose reel.
Crew manager McCarthy said: “I think it had been burning for quite a while. It was completely gutted.
“We suspect it was a stolen car burnt out.”
Although destroyed, the fire service suspect the vehicle was a Rover car.
