Good cheer at Newton Primary School garden party
CHEERLEADERS supported a world cup theme at Newton Primary School’s garden party.
The youngsters, from the after-school cheerleading club, did a display and pupils from Year 5 and 6 presented excerpts from their end of year show, Aristocats.
Children tried their luck at spot the ball, cross bar and beat the goalie competitions, while others enjoyed the bouncy castle, face painting and a Punch and Judy show provided by Chester and District Housing Trust.
The event raised £3,100 for school funds, which includes a donation from Shell.
