Police on scene as lodger refuses to leave hotel

A MAN has locked himself in a hotel room and refused to come out.

The 24-year-old man had been placed at Lloyds Hotel, Brook Street, Chester while other accommodation was being arranged.

But when he was told the accommodation had been found, he refused to leave.

Police spokeswoman Shelley Williams said: “At around 12.40pm today (Friday, July 2) police were called to Lloyds Hotel, Brook Street, Chester following a report of a man who had become aggressive and refused to leave his room.

“The man, who is 24 years of age and local to the Chester area, continually refused to co-operate with requests from officers to leave the premises. He is alone in the room and is presently speaking with officers at the scene.”
