Five West Cheshire College students heading for Africa this summer

FIVE adventurous students are heading to Africa this summer after winning funding for their trips.

The West Cheshire College students have beaten off competition to win places funded by Platform2 for 10 weeks of volunteering on community projects.

The girls from Chester are going to two locations. Kate Titlow, 19, and Amy Tatton, 20, will be going to South Africa, while Rebecca Duff and Jess Stanley, both 18, are heading off to Ghana.

Health and social care student Kimberley Currie, who has a place at the University of Chester to study adult nursing, said: “It’s something I have always wanted to do.”
