Cuddington and Sandiway beavers, cubs and scouts receive play equipment from Cheshire Constabulary

CHESHIRE Constabulary has donated funds to Cuddington and Sandiway beavers, cubs and scouts.

The police’s Safer Communities Unit worked alongside the groups to prepare a grant application to buy cricket, tennis and hockey equipment.

Youngsters completed their personal safety badges as part of the project as well as learning about the danger of strangers, the internet and roads.

PCSO Sophie Baxter said: “The scout group is a fantastic organisation for young people in the area and is bursting with members.

“The group is currently fundraising to renovate the scout hut they meet in and buy more equipment so this donation was a little help towards that.”

The funds will also go towards a renovation of the current facilities of the scout hut on Norley Road.
