Mickle Trafford children on the run for charity

THE money has been rolling in to Mickle Trafford Village School this week.

Year 6 pupils have raised more than £700 for charity by organising a fun run.

The whole school took part in the fundraiser which involved running one mile around the school field.

Bursar Karen Allen said: “They organised games and quizzes to keep the younger ones going and there were water stations along the course. The money is still coming in and we are really proud of them”

The money will be divided between three charities: Sport Relief, the Countess of Chester hospital’s first aid programme for children IMPS and the Lady Mayoress’ Fund for Children.
